Alejandro Galdo is a pianist, educator, and church musician originally from Northern Virginia. He began studying piano at the age of five and went on to earn degrees in Piano Performance from Ithaca College and Boston University, where he studied with Dr. Dmitri Novgorodsky, Pavel Nersessian, and Dr. Jihye Chang-Sung. In addition to teaching and performing, Alejandro has served as a pianist and organist for several ensembles and churches in the Boston area and is passionate about using music to build community and foster moments of reflection and joy.
When he’s not at the piano, Alejandro enjoys running new trails around the DMV, playing pool, learning guitar, and discovering new music (favorite genres include R&B, jazz, latin, and pop). His favorite musical is Ragtime, and his go-to comfort foods are homemade mole con pollo or frozen potstickers from Costco.

Favorite Musical: Ragtime
Favorite Scripture Verse: Philippians 4:6–7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus.”
Alejandro loves how it reminds him to stay grounded, grateful, and at peace — both in music and in life.
Freetime Hobbies: finding new trails to run around the DMV, playing pool, trying to learn
guitar, and of course making music with friends.
